Register in Advance
Advance registration is required for all courses and materials are ordered based on the number of paid registrations received on the deadline date. There is no guarantee that walk-in students will be admitted to a course.
Registration Deadlines
The registration deadline for any course is seven business days before the start date. Please note that courses may be cancelled due to insufficient registrations. If cancellation occurs, you will be notified in advance.
Course Confirmation
A course confirmation will be sent via e-mail automatically upon receipt of a paid online registration. Read the confirmation letter carefully for important information about course location, times and driving directions.
Cancellations/Refunds
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing a minimum of five business days before the start of the course in order to receive a refund. A $25 processing fee will apply to any refund or transfer request. A $100 transfer fee will apply for transfers from online courses to a classroom course, plus any additional course registration fee.
Returned Checks
A $50 fee will be assessed and certificates will be held until funds are received.
Missed Hours
Any missed hours must be approved by the Mississippi REALTOR® Institute staff in Jackson who will determine whether the time must be made up before a certificate of completion will be issued.
Final Exams
All final exams are administered on the last day of classroom pre-licensing and GRI designation courses. A score of 80 percent is required to receive a certificate of completion. No exams are required at the end of post-license courses. If a student fails a Mississippi REALTOR® Institute exam, students may take the exam a second time at no charge. Failing a test twice requires repeating the course at a 50 percent discount.

In compliance with the ADA, the REALTOR® Institute will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate persons with disabilities at its courses. Please contact Mississippi REALTOR® Institute staff if you have any special needs.
Purchase Process
Online courses are internet based courses that can be purchased any time through our RECampus website. Courses must be complete within 6 months of purchase to avoid the cost of purchasing the course again if incomplete by deadline date.
Cancellations/Refunds
There is no “return” policy. Once the course has been purchased and begun, there is no refund. A student may, however, transfer from the online courses into a classroom course for a fee of $470 and the requirement to sit in the entire classroom course. Due to the differences in the structure of the online and classroom courses, credit cannot be given for a partially completed online course.
Computer skills required
Online students must have an individual email address, have experience navigating Windows-based computer programs and have internet and printer access. Online courses (especially those with 30 or more hours) require a high level of patience, the ability to work uninterrupted for long periods of time and should be purchased only after careful consideration and when classroom attendance is not an option.
Transferring from Online to a Classroom Course
A student may transfer from the online Salesperson’s Pre-license course to a classroom course for a fee of $470 (the difference between the cost of the online course and the cost of the classroom course plus a $100 transfer fee). Work completed in the online course will not transfer to the classroom course completion. The entire classroom course must be completed.
Completions
Upon completing the online course the REALTOR® institute staff will receive an email from REcampus verifying that completion and will send the required certificate of completion to the student or to the Real Estate Commission depending upon the type of course completed.
