Meet Our Professional Instructors
Chris is an IT consultant and technology trainer. Prior to his current position as CIO (Chief Information Officer) at BIPEC, Chris served as the IT Director for the Mississippi Association of REALTORS® where he wrote technology articles and engaged directly with agents to solve a variety of IT challenges. He has operated as an independent consultant, website developer, and digital marketing expert for Mississippi business owners.
Jim is broker-owner of RE/MAX Results in Real Estate and has actively sold real estate and managed an office for the last 17 years. Jim began training in 1989 when he served as an Air Force Medic at Keesler Medical Center where he was responsible for mentoring new and enlisted personnel assigned to the intensive care unit (ICU).
Ken is broker-owner of Mississippi Coast Realty located in Pass Christian, MS, and brings with him 20 years of real estate experience. He was Mississippi REALTORS®, REALTOR® of the Year in 2009, Mississippi REALTORS® President in 2013 and inducted into the Gulf Coast Association of REALTORS® Hall of Fame in 2015.
Ryan is licensed to practice law in both Mississippi and Tennessee and has closed more than 20,000 real estate transactions in his career. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Law for Dowling College, he taught onsite for FedEx Corporation and online to students nationwide. He is also a Certified Real Estate Instructor for the Tennessee Association of REALTORS®, and the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS®.
Kris is a broker associate of RE/MAX Partners and responsible for supervising a 10-agent office. In 2012, Kris was honored with the REALTOR® of the Year award from the Golden Triangle Association of REALTORS®.
Brian is president of The Estes Group, a commercial real estate company. He specializes in investment properties above $1,000,000, specifically shopping centers and net-leased investments. In 2015 he was awarded Mississippi’s Commercial Realtor of the Year and in 2009 Top 40 under 40 by the Mississippi Business Journal, which highlights individuals who have made significant contributions to Mississippi’s overall economic progress.
Judy is broker-owner of Corinth Realty and brings 40+ years’ experience as real estate broker and REALTOR® to the classroom. Judy has served the REALTOR® industry in a variety of capacities, including 1991 President of the Mississippi Association of REALTORS®.
Linda Graham is the broker-owner of Coldwell Banker Graham & Associates, which is based out of Madison, MS. Linda is a respected broker and responsible for the supervision of 10+ agents. Linda takes an active role in educating her agents and draws upon her experience as a training manager for the Office of Thrift Supervision and Sunbank.
Lisa W. Hollister is a Broker Associate for Moran Realty in Ocean Springs. She is a licensed REALTOR® since 1994 and served as a national trainer for Floyd Wickman, Director of the Real Estate University, certified instructor for Coldwell Banker, certified REBAC instructor, Adjunct instructor for the University of Southern Mississippi and community colleges across the Gulf Coast. She earned a Master of Arts degree in English and Secondary Education and develops real estate curriculum. In 2015, she was MRI Instructor of the Year, served as 2016 MAR President, and is currently an NAR Director.
Cynthia has been active in the real estate industry for more than 28 years. In her home state of Mississippi, she served as state president in 1998, won the Mississippi REALTORS® Institute’s Instructor of the Year award four times, and was honored as the state REALTOR® of the Year in 2000 and inducted into the MAR Hall of Fame in 2009.
Melissa blends her CPA expertise and business acumen to her role as a real estate professional and trusted consultant. As an instructor, Melissa brings her passion and real-life experiences to the classroom. In 2016, Melissa was honored as Hattiesburg Area Association of REALTORS® (HAAR) REALTOR® of the Year. She also served that year as HAAR’s President.
Kaye is Training Director for Tommy Morgan, Inc., Realtors in Tupelo and is a seasoned real estate trainer. She interviews prospective agents for positions with Tommy Morgan Real Estate and trains them on all facets of real estate brokerage. Kaye is also the managing broker of the Tommy Morgan, Inc., Realtors branch office in Oxford. Kaye has won the Mississippi REALTOR® Institute’s Instructor of the Year award twice, 2006 and 2014.
Mark brings more than 30 years of commercial lending experience to the classroom as an instructor. Mark is Vice President for Planters Bank in Cleveland. Norwood received his Bachelors of Business Administration from Delta State University and his MBA from the University of Mississippi.
Jon has provided over 25 years of Mississippi Gulf Coast real estate service. He was the 2017 President of the MS Gulf Coast Association of REALTORS® and the 2011 Gulf Coast Association REALTOR® of the Year. In the classroom he will contribute his understanding of effective negotiation skills, in-depth community and market knowledge and professional integrity.
Dr. David Rorick is an experienced and creative photographer, journalist and teacher. He taught students from pre-school to graduate school over a 35-year career as an instructor and administrator. Dr. Rorick’s professional practice emphasizes commercial and residential photography. As a teacher, he particularly enjoys helping REALTORS® connect with buyers through effective online imagery.
Stephanie is a second generation REALTOR® and broker-owner of Latter & Blum Shaw Properties in Gulfport where she mentors 18 agents. Stephanie served as 2014 President of GCAR and was named GCAR’s 2014 REALTOR® of the Year.
Bo is a Mortgage Financing Professional who began his residential lending career in 1994. He is currently employed with Cornerstone Home Lending, Inc. Over the years he has helped countless Mississippi residents achieve their homeownership dreams. In 2010, Cornerstone’s President’s Club congratulated Bo as a Top Producer for the company. Bo was also recognized as one of Mississippi’s Top 40 under 40.
Kathy Whitfield, ABR, GRI, RENE, SRS
Kathy has been active in the real estate community as a REALTOR®, Broker/Owner, instructor and keynote presenter for over 25 years. She has over 10 years experience teaching for the Mississippi REALTORS® Institute and is known and respected as an institute of vast real estate knowledge. Kathy holds a Master of Music Education degree from Delta State University, is a certified safety instructor for both the National Rifle Association and the National Association of REALTORS® and holds Professional Coaching credentials from the Center for Coaching Certification.
